Good news everyone! October is already turning out to be quite the month for MetaArcade. Previously, we thought we’d spend this month focusing solely on development, but have now found ourselves attending not one, but two major conferences. We’ve decided these opportunities were simply too good to pass on, so we’ll be attending both Steam Dev Days (Oct. 12-13) and the Seattle Mobile Games Forum (Oct. 18-19)!
Steam Dev Days is an incredible event during which our team aims to connect with the individuals that lead one of the largest games platforms on the planet. From learning about the ins-and-outs of Early Access on Steam to anticipating the many ways in which players will interact with our game, we hope to walk away with a deeper understanding of what it means to develop for success on the Steam platform. If you are in attendance, please drop us a message and make sure to say “hi” during the show.
Next up, we’ve been invited to participate in the Seattle Mobile Games Forum as 1 of 6 Finalists for their “Shark Tank”-style The Venture Den competition! Studios selected to the final competition will be given 5 minutes to pitch their latest project to the world class panel of judges, notably comprised of representatives from venture capitalist and investor groups, and then allowed 2 minutes to field as many hard-ball questions regarding their project as possible. This is a terrific opportunity for MetaArcade to set itself apart as we continue to share the vision of our self-publishing platform, and we could not be more honored to accept the invitation. The event will take place in front of a live audience at MGF on Tuesday, October 18th.
Lastly, we’d like to remind everyone that we will begin inviting our first waves of early access players later this month via Apple’s TestFlight and Android’s HockeyApp (PC/Mac to follow soon after). As we send these invitations out, please encourage any interested friends and family to also sign up for early access via our website. And as always, you can stay up to date with the latest MetaArcade news by following us @MetaArcade on Facebook and Twitter!
Thanks for tuning in!
