Back in March, we announced the Pilot Program for the MetaArcade Adventure Creator. At first, we did not know what level of interest to expect, but the response from prospective authors has been overwhelming!
To make sure our small team can handle the workload, we decided to adopt a gradual approach, inviting only a handful of people at first. We received a lot of great feedback from these authors, which will help us refine a roadmap for future features and improvements.
But, of course, as they say, proof of the pudding is in the eating, so we are happy to announce that we are preparing to release the first Pilot Program adventure! Written by Stefan Jones, The Necropolis of Vaarh will take you to the edge of the Khazan Empire, where the deadly desert known as the Scorching Veldt has been claiming lives for aeons. Expect the first part of The Necropolis of Vaarh in Tunnels & Trolls Adventures soon!
One of the first authors in the Adventure Creators Pilot Program, Stefan grew up on Long Island, New York and was introduced to role playing-games by a cousin who found a copy of Tunnels & Trolls in a NYC game store. Back in the 80s and 90s, he had numerous reviews and adventures published in gaming magazines, and wrote adventures and source books for a wide variety of RPG systems, including GURPS, Villains & Vigilantes, Space Opera and Tunnels & Trolls . . . most notably, the classic-era solitaire adventure Dark Temple. Now living in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, Stefan has retired from his day job and is revving his adventure writing career back up.
We have sent the next wave of invites for the Pilot Program this week. If you have already signed up, please check your email to see if you have received an invite; otherwise, we will be inviting more people in the coming weeks. If you haven’t applied yet but would like to try your hand at making interactive Tunnels & Trolls adventures – please feel free to complete a brief application using this link.

And now over to Steve Crompton for this week’s trivia contest!
THIS WEEK’S TRIVIA CONTEST
We are still celebrating the expanded release of Stop Thief! So here is another trivia question from that adventure.
The Question: What is the name of Diamondfist’s ship?
Post your answer in the comments section below or on the MetaArcade or Tunnels & Trolls Facebook Pages. I (Steve) will choose an answer at random from the correct answers, contact the winner and mail you a free signed copy of Grimtina’s Guard, plus a free signed comic. (If you already have Grimtina’s solo I’ll send you a different T&T item)
Note: you must live within the continental US so we can ship it to you. The deadline for posting your answer is Monday May 7th, 6 pm pacific time.
Last week we asked: In Stop Thief! who is the master rogue of Gull? The correct answer is “Marek.”
The Trivia Contest winner this time round is Michael Richmond who was chosen at random from the correct answers. We’ll send Michael a signed copy of the Grimtina’s Guard solo! (or an alternate prize if he has that).
Ok here’s your chance to win again. Just post the correct answer. Good luck in your adventures, and remember that the end in Gull is not always the end…
